Migrating an agent between machines over text message

Using Hermes to patch DeepSeek to a vision release and then move the whole agent, containers, and environment to another computer — remotely, from a phone.

This person asked Hermes to update their local DeepSeek V4 Flash install to a vision-capable release using custom patches, and then had the agent migrate itself — along with Docker containers and environment variables — onto a different machine, coordinated over text message while out walking the dog. They're explicit that this is exactly the kind of credential and environment handling they wouldn't trust to a cloud provider, citing account-security concerns with commercial AI vendors as part of the reasoning.
