A receipt-scanning pipeline that wakes the PC on its own

This is a fully automated expense-tracking loop: a receipt is scanned through a custom phone app, the image lands on a Synology NAS, the NAS checks daily for new files and wakes the desktop PC when it finds one, which auto-starts a script that spins up the local model, processes the new receipts, and sends the structured output back to the NAS. A mobile app then reads that data to visualize spending and track prices for the same item across different stores over time. They describe it as genuinely fun to build and something that works reliably now that it's set up.
